This book is very good for every member of the family, young or old and in between. It is easy to read and holds your attention while waiting to see what is next for this family from long ago. Great book for gift giving and holidays.

Sue Williams writes:
“Finally this week I started reading a book written by my friend Patricia Walston. I purchased the book the week it came out through Barnes and the Noble. The title, "Sunday Meetin' Time... The Little Church on the Hill" is a charming story of the Alrod family and the community they lived in.
It was a time after the depression and before WW II. You see the struggles the family went through and the mighty role of the town's church. It was a time when doors weren't locked and you paid the doctor and preacher along with others by eggs, corn and veggies. In my own life I heard similar stories by my parents and grandparents; a time when a handshake meant something, stories of families with many children, and the unique role each had.
This also reminds me of my own childhood as my folks had six children and my aunt and uncle living next to us had five children. So yes, I loved the book as it reminded me of my own childhood. There is a second book in the series "Sunday Meetin' Time... The Alrods.” I will start reading it tonight. So sorry that I was unable to read it before this week. Thanks Patricia for a trip down memory lane.

You should all be blessed by reading these two books! I have read book one and I am anxiously waiting to get book two..... I love that little Leroy in the book.... he reminds me of someone I know.... I sure have missed the Alrod family !!! I can't wait to find out what happens next! The ending of book one was very surprising to me.... BE BLESSED............get these books and read them~ if you start reading ...you won't be able to put it down......thank you Patricia McCullough Walston for writing these books.. I know how sick you have been while writing them... but you knew GOD wanted you to write them.... so you were a faithful servant....and I thank you! Debra Griggs
Jackie Kreimann:
A practical applied application of God's Word to the lives of His children in a setting of yesteryear. This reading will take you back to the time of your grandparents and the truths they held dear.
I just finished reading your first two books and enjoyed them so much..
